米国保健福祉省、処方薬の価格情報をリアルタイムで入手可能に

米国保健福祉省（Department of Health and Human Services：HHS）は、2025年9月2日、処方薬の価格情報をリアルタイムで入手可能となる規則（rule）を策定したことを発表した1）。

この規則は、認証された医療ITシステムを使用する医療提供者が、事前承認を電子的に提出し、患者の保険適用範囲と一致する医薬品を選択し、薬局や保険プランと電子処方情報を交換できることを保証するもので、HHSの技術政策担当次官補／医療情報技術国家調整官事務所（HHS Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy/Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology：ASTP/ONC）を通じて最終決定され、10月1日に施行される2）。

このシステムが運用されるようになると、患者は、薬価を比較し、自己負担額を確認し、事前承認要件にアクセスできるようになるとともに、医療提供者は、最も適切で費用対効果の高い治療法を特定し、フォーミュラリーでの制限を回避できるとされる。
